This is a very popular course for individuals who are interested in joining the IT field and are looking for starting point.

ICDL is also good for individuals who need to meet the requirement of “computer literacy” when looking for a job, especially administrative type jobs and jobs that require a lot of word processing and internet activities.

It is also a very good course for non-IT students and faculty members to pursue because it adds value to one’s knowledge in another field and it puts one on a competitive edge over the student that has a degree without computer knowledge.
