About Technology Park
Located at the site of a former technical school, The Technology Park at Uganda Christian University (UCU) is being established in the context of a national (Ugandan) and sub regional need for comprehensive strategies to take advantage of the growing global knowledge economy.
Technology Park hosts the faculties of Technology and Mass Communication as well as a fully fledged 24 hour, gospel FM station. Students at the Park have access to a fully-stocked library, wireless computing facilities and specialised Media and Linux labs.
The activities of the Technology Park at Uganda Christian University (UCU) strengthen technical and commercial innovation as well as promote the application of science and technology (especially information technology) in Uganda. The Tech Park programs establish high quality training in information and communications technology with strong synergetic linkages to many of the existing and proposed programs at UCU – Business Studies, Medical Care Technologies, Health Science, Education, and pastoral training.
Technology Park is aimed at becoming a key training, research and incubation partner to private and public sector players in Uganda and elsewhere in the East and Central African sub regional.
